Synopsis

The narrative centers on a boy struggling with self-confidence, unable to gather the courage to ask a girl out. His life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers a mysterious book in his attic. Upon opening it, he reads a spell promising to "grant any wish." The incantation summons a demon named Amon, who inquires about the boy's desires. Initially paralyzed by fear, the boy hesitantly expresses a wish for courage to approach the girl he likes. Amon acknowledges this wish in an unexpected manner by kissing the boy, sealing their contract. Despite the pact, the boy finds himself unchanged and still lacking bravery. Amon reassures him, stating that his true powers will soon manifest, as he begins to possess the boy's body.

Characters

• Amon
  Amon is a high-ranking demon characterized by a condescending attitude toward humans. Although highly respected among his peers, his unbounded pride prevents him from showing gratitude or remorse. Preferring to make humans earn their wishes, he believes in presenting them with opportunities for growth as opposed to immediate fulfillment. His previous experience of granting wishes that led a human to destruction profoundly affected him, compelling him to abandon instant wish-granting. This incident has left him psychologically unable to revert to his former ways.
• Zagan
  In contrast, Zagan embodies a more mature and composed demeanor while still viewing humans as inferior. Though equal in status to Amon within the demon hierarchy, Zagan is more of a solitary figure and is often perceived as difficult to engage with. He champions the concept of "immediate gratification" in wish granting and views Amon as a rival who risks much by choosing a different approach. Secretly concerned for Amon's well-being, Zagan also takes advantage of quick wish fulfillments to swiftly claim souls.
